Insightful!!! I’m still trying to put into words what I experienced. The power, the resilience, the strength, the courage…all of that flows through my veins.

Sankofa US was the best host. We are planning a group trip next year because of them. Professional and informative.

This was an amazing trip of a lifetime! I learned so much about the country and myself on this trip, it was truly priceless. The tours and staff were amazing. The food and accommodations were wonderful! My only complaint is I can’t go back in time and relive the experience. I cannot recommend Sankofa enough.

Travel Review: Accra, Ghana, August 2025, Faithful Central Bible Church 🇬🇭 My trip to Accra, Ghana was unforgettable. A blend of culture, history, and vibrant energy. I received a warmth of hospitality from the Sankofa US and Ghanaian staff as soon as we arrived at the airport. I enjoyed to the fullest exploring key landmarks like the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, W.E.B. DuBois Center, the River of Return and Loboma Beach, which offered insights into Ghana’s independence, pride and Pan-African history. Shopping at the local Makola market, which was buzzing with life, the Accra City mall and having local vendors come out and accommodate us with colorful fabrics, handcrafted souvenirs, customized outfits, clothing, jewelry and accessories was a powerful mix of heritage and culture. The beach, particularly Loboma provided the perfect contrast to the city’s hustle, offering relaxation, music, and scenic views. The highlight were the Ghanaian cowboys and horse ride on the beach. The food scene in Accra was a true highlight—every meal was an experience. I enjoyed authentic Ghanaian dishes like jollof rice, grilled tilapia, and spicy kelewele, all full of flavor. Dining spots like Buka and Afrikoko combined great food with a lively atmospheres. Our transportation on a beautiful chartered, air conditioned bus was easy and I always felt safe thanks to the exceptionally experienced driver and road guard who made sure we were safe. Accra’s rhythm is contagious—from the music and dance to the genuine smiles of our humble, kind and professional staff and the beautiful local people. Their hospitality is unmatched. Shout out to Bishop Van Moody and Pastor John Paul Foster for making this trip possible. And an abundance of thanks and blessings to Bishop Davis who was our educator and moderator, the beautiful and demure Lady LaNiece, who surprised us in dance, protective Afriye, wise and knowledgeable Emanuel, bodyguard George, young soldier Bless, regal Prince, observant Andrew, funny K. K. , smiling and kind Georgina, beautiful Selom and happy Faustina. Accra offers a vibrant, authentic experience that blends tradition and modern life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a culturally rich and welcoming destination. It’s a city that leaves a lasting impression, and I can’t wait to return. Cynthia Atkinson

Sankofa US offers the best tours in Ghana. Our agenda was curated to capture the essence of Ghana. We visited traditional historical sites, we ventured to distant places of interest, and we experienced the beauty of the people, land, and food. Also, Sankofa US staff were wonderful. They took good care of us! I highly recommend tours with Sankofa US. Kudos to Bishop Davis and LaNiece!
